Hi patients ...

Unfortunately sunDrs Nambour closed on 27/6/2025. Our lease at the C-Square building came to an end, as the building is undergoing a complete renovation.
​
However, Dr O'Hara will continue patient care on the Sunshine Coast at the sunDrs Minyama clinic, and will be there 6 days per week !! There you'll receive the same friendly, dedicated, expert service from Dr O'Hara and the sunDrs staff.
Your past history and notes from sunDrs Nambour will be available, and your usual treatments and recalls will occur as normal.

As an experienced Skin Doctor, I love my work, and my patients appreciate the warmth, professional integrity, and open communication that define my medical practice.
I constantly upgrade my knowledge thru medical education, courses and conferences, and liaising with my medical peers.
​
I offer skin checks for common dermatological problems, mole checks, skin cancer checks, and skin cancer treatments, including cryotherapy, diathermy, curettage, excisions, grafts and flap repairs, PDT and other cream treatments.
After hours, I enjoy my family, surfing, tennis, food and travel, and have no plans on retiring for years to come !!

'Is that spot a skin cancer?'
Skin Cancer Checks
Dr O'Hara has been a full time skin cancer practitioner for the last 25 years. He now sees patients at Nambour and Minyama
​
Skin Cancer Treatment
If there is concern that a lesion could be skin cancer, then Dr O'Hara will biopsy or excise any suspicious lesions. Dr O'Hara can perform these procedures, with nurse assistance, at any of the clinics.
​
Some forms of sun damage and early minor forms of skin cancer can be treated with
creams and/or light treatments, including daylight or ted light PDT.
If necessary, Dr O'Hara can organise digital photography for high risk patients, and cosmetic and light treatments at
​other local clinics.
​
In regards difficult or complex skin cancer cases, the Sunshine Coast is blessed with a world class cohort of specialists, offering surgical and nonsurvical treatments. Dr O'Hara can refer to these public or private drs if and when necessary
​

Dr O'Hara will also be offering skin cancer services to regional locations in Qld and NSW,
where such services are limited
